late season aboard the Bankes 25' Titan... January 2011

here is one of the aspects I love about guiding and operating the boat...    taking a mid morning break!

This was the last 2 days of Maryland's Duck Season having aboard David Rearick, national writer & photography, Ron Bankes owner of Bankes Boats and Tim Furness filming for D3TV's DVD "Anticipation"

My opinion, not only it taste good but also adds alittle some warm on these colder January mornings:

Thank you for the pictures Dave!

speaking of a few POUNDS...

Body Weight?

below in these 2 D3TV youtube videos I think your can see what the difference of 70lbs is on me...   the first clip is from our St. Paul Island Alaska Bering Sea King Eider Hunt.  We are aboard the F/V Rollo with Capt. Eric Nyhammer who was kind enough to play along with us!.  You may recall seeing the F/V Rollo on The Discovery Channels "Deadliest Catch" .    This took place January 2010.

The next clip on the St. Lawrence River near the mouth and East of Rimosuki in Quebec.  The first week in October 2010

Is there any difference???

"Turning & Burning"... 112 days to go!

Got my Elliptical time in then down stairs for a Spin class…  all this at The Arena Club this morning. Next on the midday list, a 2.6 mile jog with the heat index they say at 105 degrees.  Slightly wore out but feeling good this afternoon now!

The Arena Club:  have been a member off and on at the end of each waterfowl season I guess the past 5 years, each year with less than good results except for the last 2.  with the encouragement from a good friend and taking advantage of the class offered, this time last year I was 70lbs heavier!  I’ve been able to keep it off even with all the good eating I like to do with guiding and traveling…   Exercise has been the answer for me!
How does this work?
Well even with seeing many duckhunters on the upper level at the club, I do not see any taking the Group Classes down stairs. In fact, using the step classes I enjoy as an example, often I’m the only guy in the class!
Looking and feel like something you’d see on a sitcom being the only guy among all women…
LOL
Yeah but am feel so much better for it and actually think it helps me deal with the heat…  its amazing!
My goal for the remainder of the summer is to drop another 40 or 50 lbs and the warmer/hot weather change recently is helping to motivating me plus to with the new D3TV season starting soon its easy for me to see the changes.

Thank You Arean Club!

BOOGER as a pup... some favorite shots!

"Booger" will be 5yrs old in a month...  here are a few favorite shots of him as a pup.  He's turned out to be a very dog and retreiver!  Sadly with Coot getting older and finsihing her 11th season this past, the "Boog Man" as we call him will get the call many more days during 2011-2012.  LOL...  he's at my feet as i type this now, his enjoying the basement coolness and you can't get Coot to come in the house, its hot and humid here today!  heat index is called to be 105-110 degrees...  ouch!

"Anticipation" A New Season is ready to order...

                                              http://ducksdogsanddecoys.com/products.htm

Ducks, Dogs and Decoys,  Volume 5, Anticipation, A New Season!  It has been a great season for us.  We stayed all on the east coast this year.  We traveled up early to upstate New York for some local geese, then we started our duck season in Rimouski Quebec, about a sixteen hour drive for us to get up there.  We went to the world headquarters of Bankes Boats and hunted the famed Long Point area.  We then hunted New York again for some great waterfowling for ducks and geese.  We went all the way down to Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Maryland, upstate New York and then we finished off our season over in New Brunswick, Canada on the Bay of Fundy.  All excellent hunts: some of the same birds we have shot in the past, with new friends and many different methods.  Pitboss waterfowl got a new 25 ft Titian from Bankes Boats and gun with Ron Bankes himself!  It is Anticipation of the new season.

Cost is $19.95 ea plus shipping.
A 3 Disc Set with over 7 hours of waterfowling video.
Pre orders shipping by or before June 27th  :   http://ducksdogsanddecoys.com/products.htm
